"Oppstryk Finnmark". The Course provides the possibility for young string players and amateurs to play in orchestra together with teachers and professionals -in this furthest North-East region of Norway. A co-operation with string players from Russia.

Concerts with The Telemark Chamber Orchestra, presenting a new piece by Turkish composer Mert Karabey, "Concertino for oboe and strings" with soloist David Strunk, in a varied programme. (Oslo, Skien, Larvik)

Concert with the Barents based collaboration "Oppstryk Finnmark" in the concerthall of the Murmansk Philharmonie.

Seminar (Kirsten Sand Course) for young string players from Russia and Norway in Tromsø.

June:
World premiere of the opera "Kimen" by Magnar Åm with libretto by Oda Radoor, built on the novel by Tarjei Vesaas. This takes place in Volda, Norway, on June 8-9. Telemark Chamber Orchestra is participating. See note under 'news'.

April:

The Telemark Chamber Orchestra at the opening concert of the Halvorsen Music Festival in Drammen. Soloist: Eldbjørg Hemsing in Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in d minor. World Premiere of Martin Ødegaard's piece "for Your ears only", for chamber choir and strings.

Hedmarken Symphony Orchestra, with Polovetsian Dances by Borodin and selection from Romeo & Juliet Suites by Prokofjev.
